Jumping Workouts – 3 Powerful Exercises to Increase Your Vertical Jump

If you want to get stronger faster there can be plenty of jumping workouts out there for you to try. These workouts are done by those people who wish to get a leg up in whatever they are wanting to do. Even if its baseball, basketball, running, or football, all its important to do the right jumping exercises. These sports are greatly affected by your ability to do vertical jumps.

The following are the best exercises to increase your vertical jump.

Squatting with Weights.

Staying consistent is the most key part of this workout. You either wear a weighted vest or hold weights in your hands and some squats. You won’t get the results you want if you don’t do the squats the right way. If you want to improve your vertical squats can be the most helpful for your workout. This is the key reason why you need to do those squats the right way.

The Side Box Jump

For this workout you need a box or crate or something similar that you can jump. This obstacle of your choice needs to be tall enough to give at least somewhat of a challenge, but not too high to where you can make the jump. Stand at one side of the box with it at your side, then jump to one side of the box then back again. Do 20 reps of this jumping exercises until you get better, and slowly increase the reps you do to make it a challenge.

Box Jumping With Weights

This is the same as the above exercise but gives better results. This is one of the more useful exercises for working on vertical jumps. With this exercise you stand in front of the box instead of keeping it to your side. Not only are you jumping over the box then jumping back over it, you need to use a pair of weights this time. The added weight from holding on to the weights makes your body become even more conditioned. This increases your ability to burst all that force at once when not wearing your weights. These workouts are called power jumping workouts.
